Funeral Services: Saturday, March 12, 2011, 11:00 A.M. at Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church in Cuthbert, GA Interment:  Henderson and Powell CemeteryRepast: Payne Chapel Dining HallEloise Russell was born on March 23, 1931 to the late Alice White and the late Forest Steargon in Cuthbert, GA.  She departed this life on March 6, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA.She was baptized at Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Church.  She attended Pleasant Grove Elementary School and Randolph County High School.She worked at J and J's until 1953, when she left Cuthbert and moved to Roxbury, MA.  She later met and married the late Charlie Russell.  She became a member of Grant A.M.E. Church in Boston, MA.She worked at Suburban Homemaker of Dorchester, MA. She was also a member of M.W. George Washington Carver Grand Lodge Inc. Chapter 21 Order of the Eastern Star; her position was Pass Worthy Matron.  She returned to Cuthbert, GA in 1995, where became a member of Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church.She leaves behind to cherish her memories five children; Billy (Gloria) Russell, Essie Evans, Barbara Russell all of Dayton, OH, Jessie (Kim) Russell of El Paso, TX, Barbara Russell of Cuthbert, GA; Goddaughter, Deidre Williams; Godmother to Barbara Russell, Felicia Williams and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and friends.  She was a loving mother and faithful church member, loved by all who knew her.
