David Lewis Dukes

Church Cuthbert,Georgia Interment: Benevolence Missionary Baptist Church Cuthbert,Georgia The sun set upon David Lewis Dukes, Sr. September 13, 2011. He was born May 7, 1927 in Cuthbert, Georgia to Mason and Callie Dukes. David lived in Hartford, CT before moving to Enfield, CT. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by Veeder Root as a custodian engineer for over 20 years. Later, David joined the State of CT Corrections Department where he was also employed as a Custodian engineer. After retiring from the State of CT Corrections, David moved back to his hometown of Cuthbert, Georgia. David leaves to cherish his memories, his ex-wife, Juanita Dukes, three wonderful children: David Lewis Dukes, Jr., Ursula Dukes, and Gretlyn Dukes; four granddaughters: Tiffany, Whitney, Samantha, and Jacquline; a loving brother: Charles Dukes; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. We will miss David’s giving spirit and sense of humor. David, may you now always rest in peace.
