Sister Luegenia Childress was born August 1, 1938 to the late Willie Lee, Sr. and Pearlie Mae Howard. She departed her life on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. Luegenia attended Shellman Vocational School. She had a heart of God and loved to serve the Lord. She was a faithful member of Mt. Arry Baptist Church until her health failed. Anyone that ran across her, she treated them with kindness and love. She was a woman that believe in having faith, giving and helping the next. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Oscar Lee Childress Sr., one sister, Ella Bostic and one brother, Johnnie Lee Howard. She leaves to cherish her memories four daughters; Brenda (Danny), Debra, Carolyn (Richard), and Senella (James); five sons, Jerome (Brenda), Oscar Jr. (Barbara), Charles, Terry, and Eric; seven brothers; Eddie (Willie Mae), Willie Ed (Johnnie Mae), Albert (Yolanda), Leroy (Rosa), John (Evanglynn), and Alfonzo (Glinda); three sisters; Willie Mae, Ethel (George), Sharon (Luther); and one additional brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Betty; five aunts and two uncles, seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren; a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. And two devoted nephews, she treated as her sons, Lawrence and Demetrous "Meech"
