Francies Gainer

Francies Sheffield was born on October 23, 1912 to the late Eddie and Laura Sheffield in Fort Gaines, GA. Francies married on December 13, 1931 and became Mrs. Gainer. Her husband preceded her in death earlier on in years. Francies was employed by the Bowen Family of Cuthbert, Georgia for many years. She was much loved by the family and was the caregiver to Dell, Lanny, and Montez while Mr. and Mrs. Bowen were at work. At an early age, Francies accepted Christ as her personal  Savior. She was a devoted member of St. John A.M.E. Church, whose members visited and prayed for her while she was ill. Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home was where she spent the last 15 years of her life under the care of a compassionate staff and doctors. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Eddie Sheffield, and four sisters: Mary Elizabeth Mallard, Vellar Sheffield, Margaret Ellison and Hattie Pearl Howard. We loved and appreciated Francies very much. We pray God will continue to bless her soul. Her legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
