Willie Ross Pastor, OfficatingMrs. Fannie Mae Ward Byrdsong was born to the late Nellie Rogers Lewis and Mr.Lonnie Lucious Ward. Fannie joined Payne Chapel AME Church at an early age. She graduated from Randolph County Training School, Cuthbert, GA and received a Bachelor Degree in Education from Tuskegee Insitute, Tuskegee, Alabama. Fannie loved to teach and taught in Randolph, Terrell, Turner, and Doughtery County, Albany, Georgia. Fannie organized a drill team while teaching in Randolph County and believed in education and earned her Master from Albany State University.  Fannie met and married Solomon Byrdsong whom preceded her in death along withh her mother and father. Fannie leaves to cherish her memories: her siblings, John L. Ward (Bertha) Hartford, CT, Fredrick B. of Hunt, W. VA, John T. and Gleyn E. of Pittsburg, PA and Calvin of New York; two sisters: Alma Louise of Pittsburg, PA and Linda Ann of Atlanta, GA, nephews: Trenton B. Ward of Alabama, Lucious K. Ward, Johnny K. Ward of Hartford, CT, one niece: Vickye Ward of Hartford, CT, aunts: Susie Ward -Baldwin of Columbus, GA and Clara Ward of Pittsburg, PA, a host of other relatives and friends, great nieces and nephews, dedicated cousins, Mary Blackwell Williams and Annie Doris Handsbourgh of Hartford, CT. A devoted, loyal, & best friends Pernell and Brenda Tutt-Wilson.
