He was the son of the late Mrs. Avery Sampson-Wiilliams. He graduated from Randolph County High School in 1975. While in High School he played as a running back and how he could run!Donnie lived his whole life in Cuthbert. Even as his health began to deteriorate; he declined offers to live elsewhere. He loved this town and the people living here. He departed this life on June 4, 2014.Donnie was a humble man a little mean, but he had a big heart. He was content with the basic necessities of life.He is survived by his brothers: Leon Sampson of Cuthbert, GA, Frankie (Willie Mae) Sampson of Brunswick, GA, Larry (Jackqueline) Sampson of Columbia, SC; one niece, ten nephews, three aunts, two uncles, and a host of cousins.Donnie was truly a humble man with big hearted soul, and we will miss him very much.
