Willis, PastorMr. Earnest Turner was born to the parents of the late Mattie Pearl Turner and Nate Peterson on August 29, 1946 in Morris, GA. One sister, his twin Bernice T. Gibbs preceded him in death.At an early age he joined Proctor's Chapel A.M.E Church which later became Trinity Chapel Church.In 1971, he was united in holy matrimony to Mary Jo Davis and to this union one child was born. He worked at Walter F. George Reservoir in Fort. Gaines, GA for many years and Burgin Lumber Company in Cuthbert, GA until his health began to fail. Earnest was a fun loving person who loved riding motorcycles and traveling. He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Mary Jo Turner, four daughters, Angela Turner-Bowens (Jeffrey), Fishers, IN; Sharin Gilbert, Morris, Ga; Shameika Rice, Georgetown, GA, and Denise Clark, Milton, Delaware; one son, Earnest Battle, Jr. Philadelphia, PA; one step-son, Michael Antonia Davis, Indianapolis, IN.He also leaves twenty grandchildren, five sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
