SpanInternment: Pleasent Grove CemeteryShellman, GA. 39886Lester Lewis aka Baby Bro aka Luke aka Regulator was born at Patterson Hospital in Cuthbert, Georgia on July 28, 1963 to Yvonne Lewis and the late Eddie Lewis Jr. Lester accepted Christ at the early age of where he was a member of Jacob Chapel Baptist Church in Morgan, Georgia. He lived his life to the fullest not always doing things the way he was raised but he always knew right from wrong. Prior to his illness, he fellowshipped with his family at the Church of the Kingdom of God where is his mother is the pastor. He was educated in the public school system of Randolph County and was faithful to his Class of 1981. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He later found his calling and became an over the road truck driver which he received the handle “Regulator”. In spite of being offered various truck driver instructor positions, he chose to continue to drive over the road and train new recruits. He worked for Benny Whitehead Trucking Company as well as Tri-State Delivery for numerous years and later purchased his own 18-wheeler.He leaves to cherish his memory a loving mother, Yvonne Lewis, three sisters, Beverly Lewis (James), Fredonia Lewis Clayton, Charlotte Lewis, one brother, Jeremy Lewis (Ebony), four daughters, Lakina Lewis, Tasha Allen, Vontrese Currington, and Kearra Christian Lewis, three grandchildren, Nakia, Nakevious and Nakeldra Petty, three nieces, Tamara Comer, Ariel Rogers and Natia Kemp, three nephews, Darius Clayton, Larry Rogers Jr, and Terry Kemp Jr.; lifelong brothers, Eddie Sullivan, Leon Hart, Robert Parker and Charles Kilgore; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. He loved his family and four girls more than anything in this world. He was so grateful to Aunt Lessie Lee for her daily phone calls and prayers.
