As life so serves its purpose, so then does death. Life, it comes as a blossom which soon withers away as everything, has its meaning, so does death. On June 19, 2020 death obeyed the command of God and called the spirit of Mrs. Beulah Walton, she obeyed and surrendered to the call. A precious one from us is gone, a voice we love is Still, a place is vacant in our hearts that can never more be filled. On May 10, 1939 Beulah, Sis as we affectionately called her, was the fifth child born to the union of the Late Arthur Lee and Toby Mae Burks. At an early age she confessed to Christ and joined the Benevolence Baptist Church where she served, and eventually became a member of the Carters Chorus where she served until her health failed her. Beulah was united in holy matrimony to her first love, Mr, Willie Mitchner, and was blessed with one son. She later married Mr. Henry Clay Walton and lived happily for 50+years. Beulah was preceded in death by her late husband, Mr. Henry Clay Walton, four brothers, Mr. Arthur James Burks, Mr. Moses Burks, Mr. Eddie Burks and Mr. Curlie Lee Burks, one sister, Ms. Rose Marie Burks. She leaves to cherish her memories, one son Mr. Willie Mitchner (Giaconda), Palm Bay, Florida, three brothers, Roy Burks(Martha), Johnny Burks(Doris), Floyd Burks(Dorothy), Cuthbert Georgia, five sisters, Bertha Wade (Mamadou), Susie Sy (Abdourahmane), Cincinnati, Ohio, Janie Edwards (James), Lillie Marcus (Lucious), Cuthbert, Ga, Carolyn Lewis (Tommie), Columbus, Ga., one granddaughter, Sharrell Mitchner (Allan Smith Jr,) two great grands, Nova Renee Smith, and Allan Smith III, Kanapolis, N.
