Cynthia Coleman

December 23, 1962 — February 9, 2026

Benevolence, GA

Cynthia Coleman, lovingly known as “Cynt”, made her transition to be with the Lord on February 09, 2026 at her residence from a long battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) cancer. Cynthia Coleman was born on December 23, 1962 in Benevolence, Georgia to the late Henry C. Walton and the late Elsie M. Baldwin. Cynthia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, and she was a faithful and devoted member of Benevolence Baptist Church. From a young age, she displayed a vibrant spirit, a kind heart, and a natural ability to bring joy to those around her.

Whether it was her infectious laughter, her caring nature, or her ability to turn any moment into a cherished memory, she was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She attended Randolph Clay High School, where she excelled academically and built lifelong friendships. A hardworking and ambitious individual, she pursued a career in Citizen Finance, Almark Mill, Beaulieu of America, Cooper Tires, Bimbo Bakery and CoreCivic, where her dedication and passion left a lasting impact on colleagues and others. She was deeply committed to her work, always striving to make a difference and leave a positive mark on everyone.

Beyond her professional achievements, Cynthia Coleman was a woman of many passions. She found joy in spending time with family, shopping, traveling, playing cards, and walking. She was always eager to see and spend time with family and friends.

More than anything, Cynthia Coleman was devoted to her family and friends. She cherished her relationships and was a source of strength, laughter, and unwavering support to those who needed her. Cynthia took great pride in being a loyal mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Theodis “Ratt” Coleman; her three children: one daughter, Shekira “Pete” West (Buckeye) of Jonesboro, GA; two sons, Theodis “Duke” Coleman, Jr. (April) of Griffin, GA, and Derrick “Pod” Coleman of Albany, GA; her siblings, Floyd Baldwin (Jackie) of Fairburn, GA, Robert Baldwin, Herbert Baldwin, and Christine Baldwin of Cuthbert, GA, and Mary Peters of Albany, GA; her grandchildren, Keianna West, Laila Coleman, Kenneth West, Jr., Brielle Coleman, Brianna West, Janese Gambrel, and Jordan Gambrel; her great-grandchild, Kasion Gaskin, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry C. Walton, and Elise M. Baldwin. Her sisters, Zelda Baldwin-Leslie, and Sharon Powell, and Dorothea Burkes whom we take comfort in knowing welcomed her with open arms. Though the pain of her loss is overwhelming, we find comfort in the memories she left behind. Her spirit will live on in every shared story, every echo of laughter, and every act of love inspired by her example. We will forever carry her in our hearts.
