Alfredrick Reid was born Feb. 5th, 1951 in Jacksonville, FL toRosa Lee and Robert Lee Reid Sr. Accepting Christ at an early age, baptized and joined Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church Jacksonville, FL.; served faithfully and continued to serve in ministry as an Ordained Deacon at his present day Church, Trinity Chapel Church in Morris, GA. Alfredrick attended Douglas Anderson School of Jacksonville, FL from 1st grade to 11th grade. He graduated Class of 1969 from Samuel L. Wolfson High School, the year when schools were integrated in 1968/1969. Known to all as the First Black Drum Major at a school that once was an all-white school the year before. Alfredrick honorably served in the U.S. Armed Forces - Private First Class E3 U. S. Army 1969-1973 He was married to Deloris Johnson Reid on April 8th, 2000 until her demise January 30th, 2014. He was preceded in death; Guardian Mother & grandmother Mattie Keith; Sallie Mae & Willie Jenkins, aunt & uncle/ Godparents; Panell Milliner Reid (Pam), Sister-n-law; Chanell Lavon Reid, Niece. Left to cherish his memories: Rosa & Robert Lee Reid Sr (parents); 5 brother's - Robert Lee Jr., Carl, Marvin, Michael, Darryl (Everlener) Reid Lakeland, Ga. - 1 sister Dorral Elaine (Carl) Neal; 1 Aunt Shirley Barnes Orlando, Fl.; step-son Edward (Patricia) Murphy Jr., brothers and sister in-laws, a host of nieces and nephews, and many dear and special friends and neighbors.
