Dedrick Alexander, born on December 25, 1978, in Wesson Women Hospital in Springfield, MA, passed away on January 7, 2026, at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL. His departure has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Dedrick was a beloved son to his parents, Shirley (Alfred) Alexander-Brown and Lee Anthony. His legacy, however, lives on most vividly in the memories of his cherished children, Destiny (Shena Johnson) Alexander and Xavier (Varasha Williams) Alexander, who were the pride and joy of his life. As a father, Dedrick embodied love and commitment, always striving to provide unwavering support and guidance.
He was a devoted brother to Yolanda Alexander, LaSheena Alexander both of Cuthbert, GA, Brittany Anthony of Miami, FL, and Irish Hall of California, who deeply mourn his loss. The bonds they shared, filled with laughter and shared experiences, were a testament to the close-knit family that he adored. Dedrick's departure leaves a profound void in their lives, yet they remember him for his kind spirit and infectious smile.
Dedrick was also a cherished uncle, inspiring amity among his nieces and nephews: Curiona Alexander, Orion Graddy, Morgan and Madison Tyson, Mason Grant, Kayse Alexander, and Khloe Alexander. He embraced the role with open arms, sharing his wisdom and warmth with the younger generations. Dedrick Alexander's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, joy, and resilience. He will be profoundly missed by all who were lucky enough to be part of his journey.
