On March 21, 1954, Dollie Susianna Daniels, affectionately known as “Fatty”, was born to the late Lucious Daniels, Sr. and Ella Mae Currington Daniels.
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, God sent His angels to Wilson Hospice in Albany, Georgia to deliver our dear Dollie to eternal rest. In addition toher parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers: Willie Walter Daniels and Gregory Daniels and her two sisters: Betty Jean Mills andHelen Wilmot.
Dollie was born and raised in Shellman, Georgia, later moving to Riviera Beach, Florida, where she lived with her Aunt Lucille and gave birth to her three children. She was a woman of strength, compassion, and grace who dedicated her life to her family, friends, and the residents she once took care of. Her compassion for cooking and family made her happy.
Dollie always put others’ needs above her own. Her generosity, kindness, and teachings touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She loved watching Good, Bad, and the Ugly, Christian movies, and Little House on the Prairie. Over the years, she wore many hats and provided advice tothose she met.
Dollie graduated from Randolph-Clay High School and later attended New England Tech Institute for Culinary Arts. She worked for MorseGeriatric Center (MorseLife Health Center) for 35 years and was named Employee of the Year. She was best known for cooking for residents, families, and staff. She later became Supervisor over the Cooks andtransitioned to Coordinator of Meals on Wheels within the Culinary Department for Palm Beach County.
She is survived by her two sons: Kenneth (Yasmine Ahmed) Grimes of West Palm Beach, Florida / Djibouti, Africa and Irvin Titre of West Palm Beach, Florida; one daughter: Nikita Grimes of West Palm Beach,Florida; one granddaughter: Mako Ella Grimes; three brothers: Lucious (Lois) Daniels of Columbia, South Carolina, Timothy (Marcy) Daniels of Oceanside, California, and Gary Daniels of Columbus, Georgia; five sisters: Elaine Brown of Valdosta, Georgia, Eloise Daniels of Cuthbert,Georgia, Furn Clark of Macon, Georgia, Sarah Daniels and Brenda(Willie Frank) Thornton of Shellman, Georgia; two aunts: Beverly Beach of Albany, Georgia and Linda Currington of Sodus, New York; one sister-in-love: Susie Jackson of Shellman, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dollie’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will al-ways live on within the hearts of her children, grandchildren, friends, and all who had the blessing of knowing her — and receiving one of her fa-mous nicknames.
