Minister Eddie Daniel Clay, Sr. was born September 22, 1963, to the late L.C. Clay and Mary Lue Clay in Cuthbert, Georgia. He attended the Randolph County School System and graduated from Randolph-Clay High School in 1982. He also attended Albany Technical College. Minister Eddie was a man that knew and loved the Lord. He devoted his life at an early age. He attended Evangelical Faith Vision Ministries in Albany, GA under the leadership of Apostle Felix and Miracle Deliverance Temple in Cuthbert, GA under the leadership of K.C. Prince. Minister Eddie was employed with CoreCivil for fifteen years as a detention enforcement officer. He also was employed with American Protein for twelve years. Minister Eddie loved his family, fishing, sports, and his team the Georgia Bulldogs but most importantly he Loved the Lord. Minister Eddie Daniel Clay, Sr. departed his earthly life on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Panama City, FL. He was preceded in death by mother and father, L.C. Clay and Mary Clay. He leaves to cherish his memories five children: Altaya (David) Hamm of Cuthbert, GA, Monica Clay of Albany, GA, Eddie Clay, Jr. (Patience) of Leesburg, GA, Christopher Clay of Atlanta, GA, and Emmanuel Clay of Albany, GA; four sisters: Betty Haggins of Queens, NY, Mary (Horace) Gilbert of Cuthbert, GA, Martha (Robert) Preston of Orlando, FL, Dorothy (Charles) Brown of Cuthbert, GA; two brothers: L.C. (Gail) Clay of Miami, FL and Robert Clay of Camilla, GA; eight grandchildren: Daviaunna, Toyaunna, Altaeya, Dajon, Davion of Cuthbert, GA, Montravious of Albany, GA, Klay Lohman and Chance Clay of Albany, GA; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved and cherished Eddie.
