Evelyn Coleman Green

Mother Evelyn Coleman Green was born March 27, 1924 in Stewart County, Georgia to the late Henry Coleman and Flosey Stowels Coleman. She departed this life on December 4, 2022 at Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula, Alabama. She was married to the late Andrew Green, who preceded her in death. Mother Evelyn Green joined Vilulah Baptist Church of Randolph County early in life. Later in life, she joined New Beginning Holiness Church of Cuthbert, Georgia under the leadership of the late Apostle Lawrence Jones and Minnie Jones. In her later years, she joined Empowerment Temple of Cuthbert, Georgia under the leadership of Apostle Turkeisa Rushin, where she served faithfully as “Mother of the Church”. She leaves to cherish her memory: three loving sons, Henry (Ethel) Coleman, Alton (Jacquelyn) Green, and Melvin Green, all of Cuthbert, GA; four precious daughters, Johnnie Bell (John) Murray of Tallahassee, FL; Annie (Eddie) Davis, Mandy Green, and Blondine Green, all of Cuthbert, GA; one grandson, who she raised as her own, Anthony Scott of Cuthbert, GA; a host of beloved grands, great grands, great-great grands, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. One daughter, Susie Scott, preceded her in death.
