Min. Jessie Bell Allen

Minister Jessie Bell Brooks-Allen, the daughter of the late Abner Brooks and Jessie Small-Brooks, was born on March 31, 1958 in Cuthbert, Georgia. Jessie was educated within the Randolph County School System. She accepted Christ as the head of her life. She was a member of New Beginnings Holiness Church in Dawson, Georgia. She was employed twenty plus years at The Equity Group as a Line Leader, from which she retired. Jessie was united in Holy Matrimony to Professor Allen. To this union they were blessed with two sons. She loved reading the bible, praising and worshipping God, completing word puzzles, watching Jamaican shows, and spending time with family. On Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Miller County Hospital, Jessie transitioned from this earthly life to her eternal rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Albert Brooks. A legacy of love and devotion will always remain with her family to include her husband, Professor Allen; two sons, Michael (Venitian Porter) Brooks and Frederick (Selena) Allen; three sisters, Leona (Bobby) Arnett, Lola Brooks (Byron) English, Bernice Brooks Murphy; five brothers, Willie James (Gloria) Brooks, Eddie Brooks, Jim Tom (Mary) Brooks, Jerry Brooks, Freddie Lee Edwards; twenty two grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
