Ms. Minnie C. Lee was born on July 28, 1929 to the late Mattie Thomas and Jent Brooks in Fort Gaines, Georgia. She departed this earthly life on July 11, 2023 at Pruitt HealthPalmyra Nursing & Rehabilitation in Albany, Georgia.

Ms. Minnie C. was a high school graduate from the Randolph Training School. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she served as the Mother of the Church.  

Ms. Minnie C. was employed with the city transportation as a bus driver in Albany, Georgia and was employed at Andrew College in Cuthbert, Georgia.  

She enjoyed singing gospel music, traveling, and being around her grandchildren & family.  

She was preceded in death by her brother Curtis Brooks and sister Irene Sutton; three daughters, Shirley Lee, Minnie Lee Williams, and Annie Lee; one son Charlie Lee.  Ms. Minnie C. is survived by one son Wallace Lee of Columbus, GA; three granddaughters, Kelli Williams of Cuthbert, GA, Marquetter Williams of Phenix City, AL, and Nitza Gilbert of Warner Robins, GA; one grandson,
Eric Smith of Cuthbert, GA; two nieces, Eileen Parkman of Columbus, GA and Belinda Brooks of Americus, GA; four nephews, Curtis Brooks of Americus, GA, Willie Sutton of Virginia, James Sutton of Auburn, NY and Charlie Lee Kilgore of Columbus, GA; a host of cousins, and friends. She had four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
