Mrs. Mollie L. Thompson was born to the late Earnest and Savannah Allen on July 15, 1926, in Randolph County, Georgia. She graduated from high school in Randolph County. She was one of a family of five (5) daughters and three (3) sons. Her sisters: Annie Julia Butts, Emma Blacknell and Ethel Lewis and her brothers: Oscar, Isaac, and Earnest Allen preceded her in death. Mollie departed this life on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, in Washington, DC. Mollie was united in holy matrimony to Fred Thompson, Jr. on December 29, 1946. To this union, six (6) children were born. Her husband, Fred, Jr.; three (3) of her children: Eunice Kullmann, Robert and Curtis Thompson; and one (1) granddaughter: Lisa R. Thompson have also preceded her departure from this earth. Mollie leaves to cherish her memory, two (2) sons: Willie Fred (Aiverna) and Sylvester Thompson; one (1) daughter: Barbara J. Thompson; four (4) grandchildren: Fredrick, Annetra, Eva Maria and Robert Jovan; eight (8) great grandchildren: Fenice, Isaiah, Angel, Fredrick, Jr., Isaiah, Keandris, Daikyria and Xzaaryum; one (1) sister: Jessie Mae Jenkins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mollie was a life-long member of Midway Baptist Church in Fort Gaines, Georgia. Mollie was a housewife for many years, until her youngest children were in high school. She then went to work in the dietary department at Andrew College and later worked in housekeeping at the Joe-Ann Burgin Nursing Home, until her retirement
