Rev. Larry Darnell Moore

March 7, 1959 — April 21, 2020

Our dearly beloved Larry was born on March 7, 1959 to the late Jimmy Roy Moore and Irma Jean Davis. He grew up between Cuthbert and Benevolence GA. He graduated from Randolph Comprehensive High School in the year of 1977. Afterwards he joined the United States Army and served a full four-year term. He later moved to Atlanta GA and begin working for AJM Packaging as a shift supervisor. In 1999 he moved back to Cuthbert and worked for API trucking company until he was called home to be with the Lord. In 2001 he married the love of his life Lynette Rainey. He and Sister Moore were ordained as Deacon and Deaconess in 2009. Later on, Reverend Moore heard the call of God and preached his initial sermon on December 5, 2010 at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Cuthbert GA. He later moved back to his home church Benevolence Baptist. After preaching many sermons he was called to pastor at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Alabama on August 3, 2014. In 2015 Reverend Moore moved back to his home church in Benevolence where he served as son of the house doing the work of God until his work on this earth was done. Reverend Moore earned his wings at the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany GA on April 21, 2020. He leaves cherished memories to his loving wife Sister Lynette Moore (Cuthbert GA); His mother Irma Jean Davis (Cuthbert, GA); His son LeAndrea Darnell Watkins (Kentucky); His bonus daughter Cherika Hardrick (Atlanta GA); His half-sisters Jackie Moore (Augusta GA), Renee Moore (Philadelphia PA), and Gladys Moore; His aunt and 2nd Mom Joanne Garrett and Aunt Cassie Garrett; His companion dog Chance, who he loved dearly and treated as if he was his son; a host of family, friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his brother Darrell Moore; two aunts Williet Garrett and Betty Garrett; two uncles Rochester Garrett and Roosevelt Garrett.
