Roosevelt Brown was born October 18, 1948 in Randolph County to Mrs. Rethema Beckom Sutton. He departed this life on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, GA.Roosevelt Brown joined the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Terrell County at an early age.His wife, Willie Alice Brown; step-father, Willie D. Sutton, four brothers: J.D. Jordan, J.C. Jordan, Ross Brown and Willie Burkes, all preceded him in death.Roosevelt Brown leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Beverly (Bryant) Berry and Rosa Brown, both of Atlanta, GA; three sons, Roosevelt Brown, Jr and Reddick Brown, both of Newark, NJ, and Gary Brown of Cuthbert, GA; a loving mother, Rethema Sutton; three sisters, Annie Dillard of Atlanta, GA, Dorothy (David) Deloach of Clifton, NJ and Eddie Mae (Walter) Lewis of Dawson, GA; eight brothers, Charlie Jordan of Chicago, IL, Willie Albert (Elaine) Jordan of East Orange, NJ, Larry (Janice) Jordan of Savannah, GA, Lee Norris (Vivian) Jordan, Phil Jordan, Willie C. Burkes, all of Cuthbert, GA, George (Ethel) Burkes of Orlando, FL, and James (Carrie) Burkes of Leesburg, GA; eleven grand children, fifteen great grand children, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
