Saul Elmer Richardson

Saul Elmer Richardson was born in Cuthbert, GA on April 14, 1937. He was the youngest of eight children born to the late Ulysses and Vercie Stergis Richardson. He received his B.S. degree from Albany State University and M. Ed. degree from Jacksonville State University. He began his career in Randolph County where he served as a Librarian. He retired from Stewart County School System. Mr. Richardson was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. Elmer is survived by his sister, Mrs. Marjorie Richardson Woods, LaGrange, GA; one brother, Mr. Norris N. Richardson Sr., Cuthbert, GA; six nieces, Joann Richardson, Dallie Richardson and Yvonne Richardson, Chicago, Il; Yolanda Richardson, Philadelphia, PA; Chantris Woods and Taryl (Jeff) Anderson, LaGrange, GA; four nephews, R. Hernando Harvey Jr., Woodstock, GA ., Norris N. Richardson Jr., Atlanta, GA; Dr. Dexter Woods, Indian Head, MD; Arthur Richardson Jr. Chicago, IL; and a host of wonderful great nieces and great nephews. Mr. Richardson’s life will continually be celebrated by all who knew him.
