Tyler Harris

July 1, 2004 — August 5, 2024

Tyler Harris was born on July 1, 2004, to Ms. Cantrell Wiggins and Mr. Ryan Harris. Although only 20 at his death, Tyler brought laughter and joy everywhere he went. His humor and silliness will last forever in our hearts. On August 5, 2024, we lost this shining light.

Tyler was raised in a Christian home. He joined his great aunt and became an active member of Benevolence Baptist Church.

Tyler was a 2022 Graduate of Randolph-Clay High School. He adored his older brother Trahmad, who was both a role model and a source of motivation. He was determined to put his best foot forward and begin the journey to adulthood and a productive career. He moved to Nashville and attended Lincoln College of Technology. There he completed the Diesel and Truck Technology program. He served as team lead in Walmart's automotive service department and later as Acura's service manager. During this journey, he met the love of his life Jaida and in September, the two are expecting the blessing of their first child, a son, Tyler Trahmad.

Tyler was preceded in death by his grandfather, the late Chief Bobby Wiggins, his big brother Trahmad Wiggins, who he treasured dearly and his little cousin Ta’riyah Issac, who was raised as his niece.

He is survived by his mother Cantrell Wiggins, his father Ryan Harris of Atlanta; his stepfather James Pierce of Cuthbert, GA; his brother Quantavious Smith of Atlanta, GA; his grandmother Lettie Wiggins (affectionately known as “G Baby”) of Cuthbert, GA; his aunt Tedra Jordan (Derrick) of Cuthbert, GA and uncle Terrance Bryant of East Rutherford, New Jersey. He will also be greatly missed by a special cousin who was raised as his sister, Tajah Marshall of Cuthbert, GA and two younger cousins that he adored: Tristan Jordan and Tahmir Marshall. In addition, his great aunts Yvonne Mitchner of Cuthbert, GA; Margaret A. Hawkins of Upper Marlboro Maryland; Mary Dennis (Ben) Birmingham, Alabama; Dorothy Smith (Thomas), Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and great uncle Robert Wiggins (Rametta) of Snellville, GA. His best friends: Ramel Thomas, Ryan Thomas, Jalen Howard, Jermaine Bennett, Jaterious Knighton, DeJuan Garrett, Christian Curry, Tyquan Johnson, Tarris Bivins, Jr., Kaevin Vaughn, 2 nd Lt. Shanice Harris, Rashunna Cannon, and the love of his life Jaida Hawkins, and family of Anniston, AL.

Tyler was also blessed with several special aunts: Valerie Shorter and Venee Shorter of Snellville, GA, Vivian Jordan, Cuthbert, GA, Lisa Figgins, Leary, GA, Jackie Harper of Quitman, GA, a very special sister, Shay Carter and family of Albany, GA and a host of other relatives and friends will also truly miss his presence.

The family would also like to send special thanks to several others for their constant support: Monica Harris, Shayla Gilbert, Anita Paige, Britney Johnson-Gilbert and Calvin Foster.
