Deacon Willie B. Perryman, Sr. entered this earth on April 25, 1954 to the late Melborne Perryman, Sr. and the late Claudia Mae Smith Perryman in Weston, GA. He was the fourth of seven sons. He graduated from Randolph County Comprehensive High School in 1975. He received his Trowel Trades Diploma from Chauncey Sparks State Technical College in 1977. He was employed with Henry Avery Brick Works of Edison, GA. He later established the Perryman Brick Laying Company in 1979, where he serviced the Southwest Georgia community as a master brick mason. Willie joined the Saint Mark Baptist Church of Weston, GA at an early age, where he faithfully served as President of the Ushers’ Department and a Deacon. He also attended the Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Leary, GA, where he was a faithful member and song leader of the Tillie Hicks Inspirational Choir. Willie married the love of his life, Mary Jean Thomas Perryman, in 1977. God blessed them with two magnificent children, Lakeshia and Willie B. Jr. He adored and loved his children and was very proud of their accomplishments. Willie was a loving and devoted husband, dynamic and encouraging father, fantastic brother, awesome cook, special uncle, super cool cousin, and al all-around fun-loving guy. In his leisure, he enjoyed watching westerns and boxing as well as hunting, fishing, and spending time with family, friends, and his three dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Melborne Perryman; mother, Claudia Mae Perryman; three brothers, Johnny, Charles and Melborne Jr; aunt and uncle, Christine and Charlie Green. God chose to call him home on December 3, 2018. He will be missed by his loving wife, Mary Jean Perryman of Cuthbert, GA; daughter, Lakeshia Perryman of Norcross, GA; son, Willie B. Perryman, Jr (Shantel) of Atlanta, GA; four brothers, Rev. James A. Perryman, Sr of Louisville, KY, Deacon Jessie B. Perryman (Mickey) of Cuthbert, GA, Elder Mark Perryman (Vanesther) of Fayetteville, NC, Deacon Arthur Edwards (Mary) of Lumpkin, GA; one brother-in-law, Robert Tyson of Montgomery, AL; four sisters-in-law, Ethel Perryman of Louisville, KY, Maggie Lee Perryman of Locust Grove, GA, Roberta Perryman of Cuthbert, GA, Missy Tyson of Houston, TX; three cousins (his honorary sons), Ronnie McArthur of Columbus, GA, Ricky Slaughter of Atlanta, GA, Ryan Thomas of Albany, GA; a special friend, Sandi Davis of Montgomery, AL; three uncles and aunts, Benjamin Thomas (Cora) of Columbus, GA, Evangelist Joe Thomas (Marie) of Phenix City, AL, Richard Thomas (Evelyn) of Columbus, GA; his road buddies, Christopher and Andrea Jackson of Baconton, GA; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
